Visiting Friends In Vienna

We took a long weekend to visit our friends Gabi, Vladimir and their daughter, Sara, in Vienna. They moved there from Brussels about a year ago. Our friend, Clive, from England, also joined us. We had a lot of fun and a lot of laughs as we always do with these friends. We also enjoyed dancing and playing "Princess" with Sara. Rick especially enjoyed sleeping in the "Princess Bed", which Sara generously gave up for the weekend. Gabi and Vladimir were great hosts. Gabi is a tour guide by profession and has a wealth of knowlede about the history of the region. We had already visited Vienna, but it was even better this time as we had our own, personal tour guide! In addition, Vladimir took us to some fun places to eat, drink, and listen to live music.

We really enjoyed watching the world famous Lipizzaner Stallions during their morning practice. The building was beautiful as were the horses. They do have performances throughout the year, but there were not any during the weekend that we were there. Plus, the show is pretty expensive. Watching the morning practice is a good way to get a glimps of the horses and their talents w/o spending a lot of time and money. For more information on these horses visit the link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lipizzan

I especially liked the photos of Rick in the blond wig, playing the guitar and you in the balerina / princess outfit! Also I was surprised to see you standing in front of so many 'pastry / cake' shops! That's something I would be posing by! Anyway, it looks like you guys had a great time!
