We were invited to Dusseldorf by one of our friends and we stayed in his father's apartment. There were 8 adults and 1 child so it was a tight squeeze. This was Stephanie's 2nd trip to Dusseldorf and Rick's 1st. It's mainly a shopping and partying city, but it's cute, especially along the water.
We took a boat ride the first day. That evening the gals and guys went their separate ways b/c the guys wanted to watch the England vs France Rugy match (Our friend, Clive, is a huge fan). Luckily England won that weekend. However, they later fell to South Africa in the World Cup.
The following day, we went to a castle that was just outside of the city. The castle, itself, was nice, but we all enjoyed the gardens even more. After a nice, relaxing walk around the grounds, we stopped for some lunch and then had some fun running through a maze of tall grass and hitting each other with reeds. I know, you would think that there were 8 children and 1 adult present!
(In Gabriella's defense, this shot was posed. She was actually just drinking water. It's amusing none the less. It's the first of the "Bad Mommy" series)
Shot #2 of the "Bad Mommy" series: Even apple juice looks like beer in Germany!
